a little peanut

Dear Miles
You had your 2 month well baby check today.  And it confirmed what we thought we knew about you.  You're a little peanut, growth wise, especially compared to your big brother.

Weight: 10 lbs 15 oz  (10th percentile)
Height: 22.5 inches (11th percentile)

Your big brother has never been below 90th percentile for height or weight since he was born.

I love that you're little and still seem small, even though you're advancing right along in your development.  The pediatrician said that rolling over at this age is super advanced and that you have the head control of a 4-5 month old.

a visit from your family

Dear Hudson,
We were so lucky that Oma, Opa, Auntie Bonnie and Auntie Patti all came to visit at the beginning of February.  We had lots of fun with them.  Hudson played lots of cars and trucks with them and Miles got lots and lots of snuggles.  Hudson went swimming a few times at the hotel.  We went out to dinner for Opa's birthday.
Oma got to stay for a whole week and we sure kept her busy.  Hudson and Oma made valentines and Hudson got to use scissors for the first time.  Oma learned all about trucks at Touch a Truck.  We also took Oma to the zoo so she could say hi to the giraffes.  Oma managed to sneak in some snuggles with Miles after Hudson was in bed.
We're so thankful for such a great family!

month 2

Dear Miles,
Happy 2 month birthday.  What a month it has been.  You spent 3 days in the hospital with RSV, but managed to avoid the flu later in the month when everyone else got it.  You've had lots of visitors this month, with Grandma Vicki coming for 11 days and then Opa, Oma, Aunt Bonnie and Aunt Patti all coming to visit for a long weekend.  You still seem so little to us, not the big chunk that your big brother was.  You're such a mellow baby.  In the evenings you have about 2 minutes of fussy time at 8:30, but as long as we get you swaddled and give you a paci, you fall right to sleep.

Clothing Size: 0-3 month for length but they're pretty baggy on you
Diaper Size: 1
Favorite Activity: still eating
Sleeping:  the hospital seemed to mess us up.  some nights are good and you're just up to eat.  some nights are rough with gas or coughing and one of us ends up on the couch with you
Eating: every 3 hours.  you certainly like to eat.  when you were sick, you would cough so hard that you would throw up.
What You're Up To: great at holding your head up.  you have started smiling, but are pretty stingy with them.  you like to look at your animals in your bouncy seat.  you love being held in the moby wrap.
