Dear Hudson
When you and Alice were little, Miss Melissa and I would get together and you two would lay on the floor and we would dream about the day when you two would play together and we could sit on the couch and drink coffee.  Well, that day is here!  We went over to the Bolton house last week to play for a little bit.  You two had so much fun together.  I'm so glad you have such great friends to grow up with.

14 months

Dear Hudson,
Happy 14 months! You are on the move.  You really figured out how to walk once we got back from vacation.  You have figured out how to stand up in the middle of the room so there is no stopping you now.  You also have learned the signs for "all done" "more" "milk" "eat" "sleepy".  We think you also say "ball" now.  Auntie Patti taught you how to say "uh oh" and you hold your hands up.  It's super cute.

Dear Hudson
Today was mama's birthday.  We went to a cookout at daddy's work and then stopped by the park on the way home.  You had lots of fun exploring.  You got a bit mad when I wouldn't let you go in the water but still had fun watching the doggy play fetch in the water.  I'm glad I got to spend my birthday with you!

up north

Dear Hudson,
We just got back from spending almost 2 weeks "up north" in Wisconsin.  The first week was spent at the Van de Casteele family reunion.  Then you and I spent a few days with Grandma Vicki & Teri.  We had lots and lots of fun!!! Some of the highlights were:

• Ron proposing to Auntie Patti
• Playing on the beach and throwing rocks into the lake
• Pontoon boat rides
• Lots of walking holding Oma's hand
• An adventurous hike (if the sign says the trail is closed, there's probably a good reason for that)
• Time with cousins
• Going to bed so mommy and daddy could play cards
• Swimming with Grandma Vicki at the pool
• Lots of walking holding Grandma Vicki's hand

You were a super traveler in the car and on the plane!
