Dear Hudson, I don't think you like Saturdays much. The last few Saturdays I've been sick. Today, you and I had quite the new experience. We were out to lunch with your daddy, when all of a sudden I got sick. I had to run to the bathroom to throw-up. Sorry this is so gross, but you're a boy, so I think you can handle it. The worst part was when I threw up into the toilet and the water splashed me in the face. Don't worry. I still love you. It helps that it's only about once a week and that I can feel you kicking. Hopefully one of these days you'll like Saturdays. Love, Mom

Dear Hudson, I went to the doctor on Thursday for a check up. Everything is looking great. I have somehow managed to gain 10 pounds, even though food still kind of repulses me. Must be the donuts. My belly is measuring 20 cm which is exactly what it's supposed to be. It's fun that I'm showing now and that I can put my hands on my belly and feel you move sometimes. The doctor had a really hard time finding your heartbeat because you kept moving around. My favorite part of the appointment was when you kicked right where the doppler was and I saw it move. I love the times when I am laying down and I feel you moving all over the place. I can't wait for your daddy to feel you really move. Love, Mom

You dad has the best friends. He loves hanging out with them. They also are great because they tolerate all of us girls and our crazy ideas. They even are willing to spell out your name with their bodies. I hope that someday you have great friends like that.

Dear Baby,

Today we got to see you. We had our ultrasound this morning. It was crazy how much we could see. I saw all 4 chambers of your heart, your two kidneys and your full bladder. We even got to see your brain. You are perfect!

We also found out that you are a boy!!!!!!!! Daddy and I are so excited! We have decided to name you Hudson Michael. I love that I now can call you by name and refer to you as he.

I can't wait to meet you, Hudson.

Dear Baby, I thought we were done with this throwing up stuff. Especially the throwing up of food. I thought you were liking food these days, but I guess I was wrong. This morning your dad bought a stroller. And not just any stroller. An REI jogging stroller. It's pretty sweet. You'll have to wait till you're older to use it, but I bet your dad will take you with when he goes running. We're going to Babys R Us tomorrow. Last time I was in there, it was overwhelming so hopefully this time won't be too bad. Love Mom P.S. If you could start moving a little so I can feel you, that would be great.

Dear Baby, Happy New Year! I'm so excited for what this year will bring our family. Most importantly that it will bring you! I'm also really excited that you will be born in an even year because I really don't like odd numbers. Last night, we were talking about how different next year's new years eve will be. Probably no crazy party for us. In two weeks, we find out if you are a boy or girl. I'm so excited. I can't wait to start calling you by your name instead of baby mario. And I'll finally get to see you where you look like a baby instead of a blob. Love, Mom
