a surprise for oma

Dear Hudson,
We had so much fun surprising Oma with a visit to Wisconsin.  Everyone else knew we were coming, except Oma.  She sure was surprised when we showed up at her house Friday night.  You had lots of fun playing with Oma and Opa and with your cousins.  We got to celebrate Great-Grandpa's birthday with the whole Van de Casteele family.  We took Aunty Nancy to the park and to Kohls.  On Monday, Oma took us to the children's museum.  On Tuesday, we met Miranda in Fon du Lac for a quick trip to the park.  We sure missed Daddy, but we had so much fun visiting everyone.

Happy Easter [part 2]

Dear Hudson,
 On Easter Sunday while Mommy was at work, Daddy took you to his work for an Easter Egg Hunt.  He said you were pretty shy, but had fun finding the eggs.  You also got lots of fun things in your basket.  We're especially having fun with the coloring book.
In the afternoon, we went to the k-group potluck.  You loved loved Kevin & Jen's chickens.  The big kids had an egg hunt outside, while the little ones had a "hunt" inside.  You've become quite the expert at finding eggs.

Happy Easter [part 1]

Dear Hudson,

Happy Easter! We had a fun, busy weekend.  On Saturday, we did an Easter Egg Hunt around the house.  You really got into it.  Every time you found an egg, you had to open it and eat everything inside.  Your favorite treat was yogurt melts.

After our hunt, we took Daddy to the zoo.  It was a little bit chilly, but still lots of fun.  You got to dye an egg for the animals.  We also got to see the bears up close and, of course, feed the giraffes.

Dear Hudson,
You've been really into helping lately.  You always help unload the dishwasher and have started setting the table.  Your latest thing to do is to help vacuum.  When we get out the vacuum, you get your push bus and start pushing it around.  You also think it's pretty fun to make them crash together.

happy birthday Alice

Dear Hudson,
Somehow, your friends are turning 2.  I'm not sure how this much time has passed, but it's fun to celebrate your friends.  Alice turned 2 and we got to go to her birthday party.  You loved playing outside with the bubbles and with the train set.
