Dear Hudson,
After a rough night of sleep, we still got up early so we could catch the first bus up the Going to the Sun Road for a hike. We decided to hike St. Mary's Fall Trail. You even caught a quick nap in the backpack. It was a nice, 3 mile hike. Until Daddy stepped on a snake and Mommy tried to jump in his arms. And then we saw a bear. Just down the hill from the path. Luckily there were about 20 other people stopped, taking pictures. So we took 2 quick pictures and then turned around and headed back to the road.
We then drove and found a nice shady spot for a pick nick lunch, complete with a deer visiting and some truck playing. We headed into a nearby town to get some supplies and made a stop for some ice cream. It was still too hot to go back to camp, so we drove all the way to the west side of the park and took a great family walk on the Trail of Cedars. It was so pretty and shady and no bears. The drive back was so pretty, with waterfalls falling on the side of the road. We even saw a little family of mountain goats.
Love,
Mommy

The trail of ceders looks like an elephant foot coming to squish you. What a great trip! Makes me want to do it with the kids...10 years from now.
