Dear Hudson,

Oma and Opa got us a zoo pass for your birthday. We're going to take lots of trips to visit the animals. We went this week with your friends Abby and Alice. No tears at the giraffes this time. Maybe because you had a giraffe on your shirt. You were quite the ham, making lots of silly faces with the tiger cutout.

10 months

Dear Hudson,

You are 10 months old, buddy! You are growing and changing so much. You are quite the active little boy and never seem to sit still. You love to crawl around the house and pull up on everything. Your favorite place to crawl is into the bathroom so we keep the doors locked now. You also love to pull up on Sadie's couch to say hi. Sometimes you forget to hold on and you take a big spill, but it doesn't seem to stop you.

• Weight: still 24 lbs (according to the scale at the zoo)
• Height: it's hard to get you to sit still to measure you
• Sleep: Still a great napper. Sleeping at night is going better too!
• Nicknames: Bug, Mister, Big Guy
• Talking up a storm, says "mama", "dada" and "doggie"
• Army crawling all over the place, pulls up on everything
• Favorite Book: Bugsy's shapes
• Favorite Toys: anything you can stand up on
• Favorite Foods: bananas, cheddar bunnies, bell peppers
• Teeth: Two on the bottom, two on top

Dear Hudson,
You love your puppy.  Whenever you see her, you scream.  You think it's very fun to try and climb on her.  She's not quite sure what to think now that you're moving.

We had more visitors this month.  Your Auntie Bonnie and Uncle Larry and cousins Gavin and Ava came to visit us.  We had lots of fun with them, showing them Colorado Springs.

Dear Hudson,
We went to the zoo this week with your friends Alice and Iris (and their moms).  It was your first trip.  You were pretty content hanging out and enjoying the fresh air and watching the animals.  You liked the giraffes at first but then they got a little to close when we fed them.  I think we'll be taking lots of trips to the zoo this summer.

Dear Hudson,
How are you 9 months old already?  This year is going way too fast.  You're really on the move now.  Still army crawling but you are getting faster and more adventurous.  You've started pulling up on me and daddy and the couch sometimes.

Dear Hudson,
Hurray! Oma and Auntie Patti came to visit us.  We had lots of fun while they were here.  Oma took us shopping and bought you some cute clothes.  We went swimming at the Y with them.  You loved the water so much that we're going to take swim lessons in April.  On Saturday, we went to the St. Patrick's Day Parade.  You were a bit cranky but still had fun.  There were lots of snuggles and kisses.  You had fun showing off your eating and crawling skills to Oma and Auntie Patti.  It was a lot of fun to have visitors.
