Dear Hudson,
We might have to redecorate your room.  You have received quite a collection of giraffes.  You love looking at them and even reach for them.  Sophie the Giraffe, from your Great Aunt Mary, is quite fun to chew on.  Oma's going to be so excited that you love giraffes.

Dear Hudson,
You really love to read books.  We read them everyday.  You are starting to try to hold on to the pages and you reach for the pictures.  We definitely have our favorites, like Snuggle Puppy and Barnyard Dance.  We read books so much that Daddy and I have lots of them memorized.  I hope you continue to love books and that you learn to love to read as much as I do.

Dear Hudson,
One of my favorite parts of the day is waking you up in the morning. Lately you have been waking up and just hanging out for a few minutes talking to yourself. You always get a huge smile on your face when you see me come in. You're so very snuggly in the morning and I love it. You certainly know how to make a mama feel good.

happy halloween

Dear Hudson,
Halloween was lots of fun this year celebrating with you.  Last year it was not much fun for Mommy because you were making her sick when you were growing in her tummy and she had to stay home from the party.  Good thing that's over.

We went to the K-group party, but didn't make it very long.  You were pretty tired and cranky so Mommy took you home after an hour.  Our costumes were great (and free!).

On Halloween, we dressed you up as a dinosaur to hand out candy to Trick-or-Treaters.  Only a few stopped by, and you only were awake for one family.

Holidays are way more fun with you, buddy.

Dear Hudson,
We had lots of fun carving your first pumpkin.  You were quite curious about what Daddy was doing.  You felt a little of the pumpkin guts, but thankfully didn't try to put any in your mouth.  We didn't get too creative with the face since we didn't know how long you were going to be content.
