Dear Hudson,

I really haven't been so great at taking pictures.  We're just kind of hanging out these days, waiting for brother to be born.  Mommy doesn't have a lot of energy these days to do much.  Thankfully, Daddy's still lots of fun.  Mommy got away for a weekend with some friends, and you and Daddy had fun, just the boys.  You broke out the tools and built a truck with Daddy.  We had fun making thankful turkeys for Thanksgiving.  The day after Thanksgiving, we went to get our Christmas tree.  You picked out a great one and had lots of fun decorating it.  You were a bit confused at first why we didn't get presents right away, so we made a paper chain countdown to help you figure it out.  We also enjoyed some special moments just the 3 of us.  We had hot chocolate and watched a Christmas movie on tv.

getting ready for brother

Dear Hudson,

We've been doing a lot to get ready for baby brother to come.  We practiced putting a diaper on the baby.  Then you wanted to feed the baby with a bottle in the car seat.  One of the big things we had to do to get ready is move you downstairs.  You were so excited to get to sleep in a big boy bed.  Naps were rough the first few days, but then you got the hang of it.  You love all the trucks in your room and having animals in your bed to play with.

You're going to be the best big brother!
