what you've been up to

Dear Hudson,

I haven't been very good at taking pictures this summer.  Here's just a little bit of what we've been up to this last month or so.

Dear Hudson,
You've been asking to go to the zoo for a few weeks now and today was the day.  Until we woke up to rain.  So we learned the word disappointed and then we made other plans.  We went up to the Focus on the Family play area for the first time.  You had lots of fun climbing around.  Then we ran a few quick errands to mommy stores, which included a brief dance party in one store.  And then we got to have a special lunch date with Mommy for being such a trooper.  I guess you had a good morning since you fell asleep on the way home.  Hopefully we'll make it to the zoo next week.

Grandpa & Grammy come to visit

Dear Hudson,
Over labor day weekend, Grandpa and Grammy came to visit us.  We went up to Breckenridge to have some fun.  There was a rubber ducky race, that was fun to watch.  We went out to dinner and found some fun parks to play at.  You read lots of books with Grandpa and also got to watch Toy Story with him.  One not so good thing is that you learned how to climb out of the pack n play.  Guess it's time for a big boy bed.
