12 months

Dear Miles,
Happy Birthday!!!! Somehow you are already 1. This year has flown by.  You're such a fun little guy and we can't wait to see what this next year brings for you and our family.  We think you are currently working on 4 new teeth at once, so you've been a bit more crabby lately and not the best sleeper, but I'm pretty sure we'd be crabby too if our mouths hurt that much.  Food is still your greatest love in life, but you're also enjoying playing with brother and crusing along on the couch these days.  No walking while holding hands or going up stairs yet, but I'm sure that will come shortly.

Here's what you're up to:
Weight: around 19lbs
Height: 27 inches or so
Clothing Size: 6-9, 9 month and some 12 month. 
Diaper Size: 3
Teeth: 2 top and 2 bottom but seems like you're working on 4 more.
Words: Mama, Dada, Ada, UhOh
Favorite Activity: eating
Sleeping:  sometimes 2 naps and sometimes just 1 nap.  You love to take a long morning nap some days and then you're a disaster by bed time.  Other days you take 2 naps and don't head to bed until closer to 9.  We just can't figure you out these days.
Eating: Anything you can get your hands on, including baby wipes :).  We introduced wheat things this month and you certainly love cheerios and goldfish.  Meat and veggies are still a favorite and you thought Thanksgiving was the greatest day ever.
What You're Up To: clapping along to music, patting brother on the back, playing with the toy kitchen, ripping paper, crawling everywhere

Dear Miles,
You're almost 1.  To celebrate we had our friends over for dinner and to play.  You, of course, enjoyed dinner the most.  You were also a big fan of your cookie.  Hudson liked helping you open your presents.  Mommy decided that we always need Oma at our parties.  We love you so much little man and are so very thankful that you are a part of our family.

month 11

Dear Miles
Just one more month until you are 1 year old.  This year has flown by.  You are such a sweet, special little guy and we are loving seeing your personality coming out more and more.  You are fascinated by your brother and have taken to calling him "Ada".  The joy you express when you first see him after a nap is contagious.  Sometimes when he is down in his room for rest time, you just stand by the gate and wait for him.  You two are such great playmates most of the time.  You are busy now getting into everything that brother is in to, whether it's cars or legos.  You've also become quite musical, clapping along to songs or shaking the instruments.  We are going to have so much fun celebrating you next month!

Here's what you're up to:
Weight: around 19lbs
Height: 27 inches or so
Clothing Size: 6-9, 9 month and some 12 month.  You're needed longer onesies these days but still a pretty little guy.
Diaper Size: 3
Teeth: 2 top and 2 bottom

Favorite Activity: playing chase with brother
Sleeping:  oh sleep. we miss you.  Usually still 2 naps a day, but sometimes one.  Sometimes you stay up late until 8:30 or so and sometimes you're in bed by 6:45.  Sometimes you get up super early and sometimes you sleep in.  Notice a pattern here?
Eating: You usually will go 5 hours first thing in the morning without nursing if we are out and about, but other than that still nursing every 3 hours or so.  You eat any food, but your favorites are meat of any kind and peas and raisins.
What You're Up To: crawling all over the house, pulling up on the couch, pulling up on the table, playing with the toy kitchen, teething like crazy

Happy Halloween

Dear Hudson & Miles,
We had lots of fun celebrating Halloween as a family.  Hudson wanted to be Lightning McQueen so the rest of the family joined in and Miles was 'Mater and Daddy was Luigi and Mommy was Guido.  We went to Ella's house for dinner and then went around her neighborhood for trick-or-treating.  There even was a need for a pit stop and tire change while we were walking.  Good think Lightning McQueen has his pit crew along.  You boys are sure cute!

painting pumpkins

Dear Hudson & Miles,
This year, Hudson wanted to paint his pumpkin again.  You did a great job and even painted on a face all by yourself.  Miles enjoyed looking and touching the pumpkins too.
